Anti Trojan Elite 5.1.8

As the name so adequately points out, Anti Trojan Elite is a security software application that will get rid of, well, Trojans. In computing, a Trojan is a type of malware that makes its way onto the user’s computer, then facilitates unauthorized access to the user's computer system. For example the Trojan will allow a hacker to remotely access the system and perform various actions – like data theft, keystroke logging, or installing software (typically more malware).

But the name doesn’t do Anti Trojan Elite justice. This ISecSoft Inc-developed piece of software that weighs in at some 6MB can remove other types of malware as well. Besides Trojans, it can detect and remove worms, keyloggers and spyware.

What Anti Trojan Elite does is provide the Windows user with a real-time malware firewall. Anti Trojan Elite can detect, block and remove malware once it has been loaded. Just to put things in perspective, Anti Trojan Elite can detect more than 55000 Trojans, keyloggers, worms and other malware types. As ISecSoft Inc gathers info on more malware, that number goes up.

Anti Trojan Elite comes with a Network Manager feature that allows the user to view the TCP/UDP states and the processes they belong to. Via this feature the user can disconnect suspicious TCP connections. Anti Trojan Elite also comes with a Process Manager feature that allows the user to view running processes and disable any suspicious process. The user can disable any process. Last but not least, Anti Trojan Elite comes with a Registry repair feature that does just what the name says – it repairs Windows Registry entries damaged by malware.

You can download and install Anti Trojan Elite on all versions of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system. This includes Windows XP, Windows Vista and the latest iteration, Windows 7. You cannot use the application free of charge though. You can see what it has to offer by putting the demo version though its paces. Be warned though that the demo version is limited – it only detects spyware, it doesn’t remove it; service modules are disabled; you have to put up with a nag screen.
